Corn Field Sunset

Although this blog was originally written last year, it has been getting a good amount of attention lately. I wanted to share this post from Brian Scott with you because I think he does a great job explaining a farmer’s perspective on GMO crops and even more so, the conversation that takes place in the comments is a great example of respectful communication between different sides of an issue. Let me know what you think!

Carrie, thank you very much for re-blogging this! I really appreciated the honest, calm and patient way in which Brian responded to people, some with an obvious mal-intent. I laugh when the anti-productive-agriculture brigade talk about consumer choice. They, in fact, are working for the exact opposite.

I wrote about that very concept here: http://iloveag.wordpress.com/2012/09/25/trampling-price-signals/

Keep up the great work. I’d sure like to get together in person and discuss over a Rumchata…!

Thanks for the reblog and kind words, Carrie.
